These events celebrate the unique
position that Two Spirit people hold in
Cherokee society and provide a
gender affirming space for our diverse
community.

Cherokee communities have been built on a foundation of love, inclusivity, admiration and fairness for all…Cherokee goodness is the type of goodness that lifts people up no matter the color of their skin, the dictates of their conscience, who they see when they look in the mirror, and no matter who they choose to love…the Cherokee Nation is a stronger, more just Nation when we embrace the full diversity of our Nation and the full concepts of our democracy… Cherokee Nation proudly celebrates Pride Month with our 2SLGBTQ+ citizens and stands strongly in solidarity, ready to work under the spirit of Gadugi to ensure all citizens share in the same freedoms and equal opportunities…and, when one group’s dignity and equality are threatened, we all suffer…let us celebrate the pride that empowers the 2SLGBTQ+ Community.
